Welcome to my studio.  I'll try and post new pictures showing some of the projects I'm working on.  Several are commission work and I enjoy creating these special one-of-a kind bead weavings for my growing collectors group.

I teach in order to give back some of the time and effort invested in me over the years by fellow beaders and a magnificent group of American Indian Women I had the privilege of weaving with while in Oregon.  My hope is to teach novice beaders on the delights of creating fabric from beads.

When I teach peyote stitch, you have your choice of making a keepsake bag of #8 seed beads.  They are a little easier to see and work with until you get the feel of bead weaving.  For those that want a little  more of a challenge and are comfortable with smaller beads, you can create a "skinny bracelet" or a pill bottle for your purse or a gift.  Many choices of patterns.  One is worked flat and the other round. Both are made using #11 Delica Beads.

For those that just want to enjoy a little "beading time" the Petrified Wood Bracelet is a great memento of your trip to the red rock of "Canyon Country" and works up in 90 minutes.

Square Stitch is a little more complicated to learn but works up almost as fast as Peyote.  You'll have your choice of a number of antique quilt patterns.  You can then take it home and frame it.

Not sure?  Just call me and we can talk about it.  If you have a pattern or kit you've not been able to work up or finish  - bring it along.  We'll see what we can do to get it finished.

Just come to Escalante, plan on "beading time" and enjoy.

Tuesday Classes are from 7-9 PM

Thursday Classes are 9 - 11 AM

Classes are $45.00 each and include all supplies.  Additional hours of help to finish your project are free.

Class sizes are limited to 4.  I welcome one-on-one.

Sunday retreats are available by special request.
